The current scenario where open and public insults and slurs are something very worrying. Even religious leaders are not exempt from being criticized and insulted.
I saw a very popular and respected cleric who has posted, concerning a political leader when campaigning using Quranic verses but a few minutes later the lecture began to turn into language that was vulgar such as calling someone foolish etc. Perhaps because the advice was related to a political figure, he was criticized. If it were an ordinary person, it wouldn't matter because the criticism was correct. We must never call anyone else foolish.
It's also very sad when religious people are written with teasing and sarcasm. Religious people are still needed to correct things that are felt to be wrong. I am not a religious person but I believe that when we are sick or there is a death, it is the religious people who need to be sought. Not the political leader.
The use of language like "lebai" to label religious people in politics also feels inappropriate. It gives a bad impression to non-Muslims when they see this. It seems to diminish the religious leaders.
It is true that not all imams and imamahs have the correct political views. But we need to respect them. If we disagree, we can just stay silent or simply unfollow. No need to write comments that are quite rough and excessive. Sorry if there are those who do not agree with my opinion.
The same goes for having a different opinion with me, immediately threatening to unfollow my blog. Frankly, when we rely fully on Allah, we are not afraid or dependent on humans.
How many people want to obstruct, but if Allah does not permit it to happen, it will not happen. And vice versa. OK that's it for now, now we switch to the cooking chapter.
Actually, I haven't made this Kuih Che Mek Molek for a long time. If there aren't many people at home, I wouldn't make traditional cakes like this. I'm afraid it won't be finished.
Making this cake is very easy as you just need to boil sweet potatoes until soft. The measurement of wheat flour is estimated because we need to look until it can be formed. If it's too little flour, the dough will stick to your hands. If it's too much, it won't taste good.

Sweet Chek Mek Molek Cake
Ingredients:
275 grams mashed sweet potatoes
1/2 cup flour + 1-2 tablespoons
Sugar to taste
Instructions:
Boil sweet potatoes until soft. Peel and mash until smooth.
Add the appropriate amount of wheat flour and mix well until blended. Take 45-46 grams and shape into balls.
Then press to form a bowl-like shape. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar and cover tightly so that the sugar does not leak when frying.
Heat oil and fry over medium heat until golden yellow and the sugar has slightly melted. Remove and shake off excess oil.
Note:
There is a tip to add a little rice flour to make the outside crispy and the inside still soft.
